Honoured Orphans Network (HON) is founded on the universal principle of Gratitude, which states, "To whom much is given, much is required."
Our story began in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the situation led to catastrophic conditions for most, it also created a burning desire amongst others to connect and lend their support, especially to the less privileged. Dr. Adeola Oke and Funmi Alabi-Momodu teamed up to develop a strategic plan to support orphans and their families in an impactful and sustainable way. They desired to establish a genuine connection with the orphans, to share their love, to provide financial support, and to help them aspire to achieve their dreams despite their situation.
In May, 2020, HON was officially registered as a non-profit organization headquartered in Nigeria to support orphans aged 9 years to 18years who have lost a father figure.
Ways We Help
Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.
Through Allah's mercy, Honoured Orphans Network has awarded sponsorship to 6 children between the ages of 12-18 years, all funded by the Board of Trustees. Today our recipients are not just awardees, but are “Our Children" who hold a special place in our hearts. We currently have 6 children spread actress Nigeria's Southwest. We have two children in Lagos State, two children in Oyo State, one child in Osun state, and another child in Borno State.
Through our quarterly mentorships over the last 2 years and financial support to their families, we have built a bond with them. In addition, the Country Director, Bolanle Alabi, provides periodic check-ins and organizes educational and gift items for the children. We are so proud that they are thriving excellently in their academic and Islamic studies, with our son due to attend University in September 2022.
We are truly honoured to be part of their lives and want to continue to create opportunities for them and other children like them to reach their God-given potential. The mission is to further the operations of our integrated sponsorship model through the support of other mentors and donors to enable us to grow our network of recipients from 6 active children to 30 children across Nigeria by the year 2030.

"Moreover, restore to orphans their wealth when they attain maturity. Nor shall you substitute your tainted wealth for their wholesome wealth. Nor shall you consume their wealth with your own wealth, for it is, indeed, a great offense.”
